Is the fan speed setting on High?
- For optimal performance in Humidity control make sure to set your fan speed control to high and dehumidistat at normal season setting (40%-60%). These settings are optimal for most homes. The unit is engineered to run continuously and once the unit has reached the set humidity level, will automatically reduce to a maintenance speed (40 CFM). The lower the percentage the longer the unit will operate on high speed.
What percentage is the dehumidistat set?
- To test the humidity level using the dehumidistat, raise the percentage until the unit falls to low speed. This method will give an approximation to the current humidity level near the unit.
